Medieval Tapestries

There are few enhancements you can make to your home that are as dramatic or as beautiful as adding a medieval tapestry. And while they used to be the sole ownership of wealthy land barons, kings and lords this is no longer the case. You can own and proudly display a beautiful medieval tapestry in your home at a very reasonable cost.

Tapestries themselves have been the adornment of the rich and powerful for thousands of years. The ancient egyptians were big fans of tapestries. But, in todays times we have a very distinct idea when we say "medieval tapestry". We are referring to the types of tapestries that came out of the late middle ages and the Renaissance. This was the period of time where the tapestry was brought to its highest form of art.

Tapestries from this period expressed a spectrum of different ideas. Some portrayed famous moments in history, famous battles, marriages or any other type of event that really happened. There was also a whole school of tapestry making that just focused on the medieval fantasy by depicting wonderful scenes with dragons or unicorns.

Whichever type of tapestry you are looking for you can know that you are bringing a little bit of the mystery and the mystique of the Medieval world right into your home.
